Hello beautiful people! Have any of you gone to paint some pottery? Well, I have, and not just me, but my BFF as well. We both decided it would be a super fun idea if we went and painted a mug. Now, if you know me, I LOVE mugs so I was pretty pumped for this little adventure.

We went to this little place All Fired Up. It was so cute, there were so many mug choices that my friend and I stood there for a good 5 minutes deciding what type of mug we should paint. We each chose really cool mugs. The next hard part was picking out the right colors to use.

After we picked out all of the colors we wanted, we sat at the table and googled a few ideas to paint our mugs. We decided to wing it and hope for the best. They actually came out really good looking!

I decided to do some white polka dots all over my mug because I'm not the best artist and I didn't want my mug to be one boring color. I tried writing the word "effortless" (it's an inside joke between us) :) I would have to say, the E F F and the O came out great and then it all went downhill from there haha. I tried fixing the word a few times, but my writing and lack of artistic ability wouldn't one up my first attempt at writing the word.

Another problem I faced was that I wrote the word a little too far down the handle so it's hard to read. I decided to draw a lovely little heart on the top of the handle (where one is able to easily spot it) to add a little somethin' somethin'.

My friend on the other hand, decided to draw a few balloons and the quote "Adventure is out there" from the movie UP. Her mug turned out so good! The balloons look like a bunch of balloons and the the quote is actually readable!

The little tubes that we used for the words and the polka dots was a lot harder to use than we expected. Especially writing with them because you never know if a big giant glob of paint will decide to pop out or not.

All in all, I think we had a pretty good day. It was filled with A TON of laughter, smiles, maybe a little frustration, but most importantly, a lot of fun and adventure.

I'm looking forward to a whole bunch more of this in the near future!! :)

XOXOX
