It was such a beautiful day. At first it looked as though it might rain, but it cleared up and we all wished it was overcast because the sun was shining and it was shining pretty darn bright! Even though it was extremely hot we all had so much fun!!
Sadly, Turner Field Stadium is being demolished and a new stadium will be built, but the Braves will no longer be called the Atlanta Braves. :(
I wanted to get a picture of when you walk inside. (I wanted to cherish this moment haha)
We had amazing seats!! The Braves were playing against the Phillies (we won!!)
The highlight of my day might of been getting a picture with the usher. Why? Because he is the oldest and most energetic and excited ushers in the entire stadium. Whenever my family would go to the baseball games when I was little, I remembered that he was always the one to start the waves that traveled the whole stadium.
When I asked him if he minded taking a picture with me, he replied "I'm honored".
Since, it was scorching hot out, I decided to get my favorite soft frozen lemonade. It was both a treat and refreshing.
We of course got peanuts as well because I feel like that's an essential when at a baseball game. Does anyone else feel the same way, or just me??
Me and my dad!!
I couldn't help, but to take a few selfies.
Left to right: My little sister, Mom, (some random lady haha), and me!
After we were sweaty and felt like we all got sunburned, we decided to leave. It has become almost like a ritual or a must to go to The Varsity before or after a Braves games since it's not too far.
If you have never been to The Varsity, it is the world's largest drive-in restaurant and it has been around for 87 years!! If you are ever passing through or come visit Atlanta, you should definitely eat at The Varsity Downtown. (I think it's the best one)
Since I ate at the baseball game, I just got some fries. My personal favorites when going to The Varsity are the burgers and freshly cut fries and to treat myself the apple pie. I think it is to die for!!
Have any of y'all ever eaten here? If so, what's your favorite thing to get?
XOXOX
